Prevent Child Abuse America was established in 1972 to build a nationwide commitment to preventing all forms of child abuse. PCA America has been dedicated to making the health and well-being of children a top priority for everyone; its programs, research, media campaigns, and activities at the state and local levels have provided leadership to child abuse prevention efforts nationwide.

PCAA has a nationwide network of state chapters working in communitites all across the country. MCC's Prevent Child Abuse Massachusetts program is our state's chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America.

KIDS COUNT

KIDS COUNT, a project of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, is a national and state-by-state effort to track the status of children in the United States. By providing policymakers and citizens with benchmarks of child well-being, KIDS COUNT seeks to enrich local, state, and national discussions concerning ways to secure better futures for all children.

At the national level, the principal activity of the initiative is the publication of the annual KIDS COUNT Data Book, which uses the best available data to measure the educational, social, economic, and physical well-being of children. The Foundation also funds a nationwide network of state-level KIDS COUNT projects that provide detailed data on child well-being in their state.

Voices for America's Children

Voices for America's Children is the only national organization devoted to building the capacity of state and local child advocacy organizations. Its nationwide network of child advocacy organizations works at the increasingly critical level of America's statehouses, county commissions, and city councils. With 63 member organizations in 47 states and 11 cities and communities, Voices for America's Children serves as the forum where child advocacy leaders from across the country convene to share ideas and exchange information, formulate joint efforts and coordinate strategies, sharpen their skills, and increase the impact of the child advocacy movement. Voices establishes links between state and local child advocates and national experts and provides a clearinghouse of information on issues affecting children and effective advocacy.

To support its member organizations, Vocies provides a range of services, including timely information on critical issues affecting children and families, national conferences and regional training opportunities that enable child advocates to gain knowledge and augment skills, and individualized technical assistance that is tailored to the needs of state and local child advocacy organizations. Voices also provides organizational development assistance in areas such as board development, management, and fundraising.
